We went to Marathon on a Friday around 3pm with a group of 3 people. One of us ordered the food and the rest grabbed seats ( I recommend this because the seats go fast & the lines are long). We told it would take 20-30 mins to receive our order, but it came at about 10 minutes. I appreciate the team under promising and over delivering. The burger and wings were good and the staff in the patio were kind and constantly tidying up.

Visiting from Seattle Washington and so glad my adult children planned for us to eat here. The food, service and ambience was great. I loved that they were giving out free cold bottled water since it was a nice warm day. We will definitely be back. It’s also located in a cute neighborhood. We also stopped by the Venice beach location to support and show love 💙💙

This was my first visit here. I flew in from Texas and made sure I was there first in line to avoid the long lines and to avoid kidding my return flight. Yes I go there extra mile for good food loll. Anyway, the food was good. It was fresh. My daughter really liked the burger that I thought was ok but I really loved the shrimp. I was the first in line and the crowd didn't get too bad that early. The staff is nice but they did forget items in my order so check your order before leaving. This is minor but if you're dining in, they waste paper by bagging your things up when they could just hand you the container they put your food in. I feel that would save them in cost. The parking you just have to find a spot down the street and around corners lol. It's all metered parking for $1.00 an hour minimum two hours so not bad. I was there early so I had no issues. Overall good taste. They just need to get more organized with making sure you're whole order is fulfilled. Just check your order before leaving. But I'd definitely go back.

First time visiting here. Pros: Go early or be prepared to stand in line 1-2 hours. Basic food. The cake was thick but good. Cons: Extremely long line. Coming from the south, the marathon burger was average but not what I expected. Meat was thin and salty. Bread was soft. Tasted more like a manwich burger. I was with a party of 6. The first 2 in my party ordered, then me and my party, and then the last 2 of my party ordered. My party of 2 received our order nearly 20 minutes after our other friends got their food. Our buzzer NEVER went off!! The restaurant’s reasoning was “That always happens”. This is baddddd business and not worth the long wait. Go somewhere else!

I recently visited Marathon Burger in Melrose, and while the food was delicious, the experience felt like a marathon itself! I ordered the 12-piece wings, the OG Burger combo, the Marathon Burger combo, and the Smash Burger. The flavors were fantastic, but the wait time was quite a challenge. I spent over an hour just waiting in line, and it took more than three hours in total to get my food. I appreciate that great meals take time, but this felt a bit excessive. The spice level was impressive, especially in the wings and burgers—definitely worth a heads-up for those who might be spice-sensitive. I personally love a good kick, but it would be thoughtful to give customers a warning. I was also excited to order a shake, but to my disappointment, they had run out. Strangely, I noticed several people who had been behind me in line enjoying theirs. A bit frustrating! Additionally, it’s important to note that the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible, which can be a significant drawback for some. Parking is also a challenge, with limited options available. There’s a lot of paid parking and street parking, but finding a spot can be quite difficult. Despite the long wait and access issues, I want to acknowledge the hard work Blacc Sam is putting in to honor his brother Nipsey Hussle’s legacy through this restaurant. The commitment to delivering quality food and a sense of community is evident. Marathon Burger has some amazing flavors that are definitely worth trying, just be prepared for a lengthy wait, keep the spice level in mind, and plan ahead for parking and access. If you do visit, maybe go when you're not too hungry—unless you're ready for a marathon-level experience!
